This is one of my first digital painting attempts. I have tried several times before but none of my attempts was good enough to be uploaded, at least this is what I believe. This one is the first I dare to upload and show it to you. I did it yesterday night [all night], I could not sleep. The stress is killing me and my Lord was sleeping... so I felt alone. Really alone. Noone was in msn, noone seemed to be online at all... This one came out. The colours are dark and... lonely. When I made it, I found them ideal. When I woke up, I found them too dark... They made my soul hide in shadows...
I leave this in your discretion, open to comments and your judgment. I hope you like it. I used one photo of myself for reference, the photo is in my stock account. I firstly made the photo black and white, then blurred it a lot and made it have the highest contrast possible in order to see the shadows properly. Then I opened another empty .psd file and started trying to paint all the shadows I saw. I painted the eyes and the hair in the usual way, and then played a lot with the colour... Finally I tried some lighting effects. That's all! When all this finished, it was 6 o'clock in the morning... and thankfully I felt less alone.
